This Blog Is In Honor Of.....

...my late Grandma, Betty Casida, who's green thumb I hope has been passed down to me!  Her garden was an inspiration to many, her kindness a characteristic I aspire to have.  You are loved and missed!

Ladies and gentleman; we have grass sprouts!  We've been diligently watering the Fescue seed we placed down under the shade tree in our yard a couple of weeks ago.  Finally today, there's life!  We were worried because a few days after we planted there was a really strong thunderstorm that washed a lot of the seed away, but alas, the little guys hung in there!

Upon going outside to take a photo of my little beauties above, I found that one of the guacamole hostas that I planted is emerging!  Yay!

And my favorite thing to plant by seed EVER, zinnias, are popping up.  They are pretty much instant gratification, within a few days you see the fruit of your labor!

Here's a few more pics of what's going on in my front yard!

walking on our little baby fescue!  Also,             the purple pots I got on sale: was $39.99, got for
So he doesn't trip over the string I put out!       $14.99 at Home Depot.  There are elephant ears and
