Ladies and gentleman; we have grass sprouts! We've been diligently watering the Fescue seed we placed down under the shade tree in our yard a couple of weeks ago. Finally today, there's life! We were worried because a few days after we planted there was a really strong thunderstorm that washed a lot of the seed away, but alas, the little guys hung in there!
Upon going outside to take a photo of my little beauties above, I found that one of the guacamole hostas that I planted is emerging! Yay!
And my favorite thing to plant by seed EVER, zinnias, are popping up. They are pretty much instant gratification, within a few days you see the fruit of your labor!
Here's a few more pics of what's going on in my front yard!

So he doesn't trip over the string I put out! $14.99 at Home Depot. There are elephant ears and
and white variegated Caladium in there waiting to sprout!
Yep, the FedEx guy walked in as the tear started rolling and asked how's your Friday going? Wow, my luck! Ash, I just want you to know that I really admire you. I know you have mom's green thumb and spirit. I see it in both of your eyes in the pic. BTW - do you remember when the picture was taken? Your home looks really nice - want to come see all you've done. Love ya bunches :) Mom
